whiterook asked:
Us Christians read what we call the Old Testament, I don’t see much mention of eternal life in that scripture. Does the teaching come from other writings or do you not anticipate that at all?

i’d like to know what jews think of afterlife or immortality,
also if they are not religious (more like secular jews) how do they view afterlife?

Carolyn1345 asked: Do you really want to live forever?
I mean, there are no guarantees that it will be a happy life for all time. You mess up here and its a fiery furnace forever.
Does the idea of total non-existence ever seem more appealing?
I am not saying I want this, I am just trying to stimulate discussion and debate.

Josh asked: Hello, I am doing a research paper contrasting Christian and Muslim doctrine in the area of salvation. I would greatly appreciate if any Muslim, or person who has studied Islam could give me a quick overview of how a person obtains eternal life (or whatever it is that they hope for in the afterlife).
I would be even more appreciative if anyone could site the Hadith and/or the Quran in this answer.
Thank you.
Thanks for the responses! I will be citing many of your responses in my paper.
